“Echoes of a Future” est une série de photos qui me permet d’explorer le lien profond entre l’Union soviétique et l’Arménie d’aujourd’hui. Je cherche à capturer les échos persistants des idéaux soviétiques dans la vie contemporaine arménienne, tout en reconnaissant que cette réalité est aussi une sorte de fiction façonnée par les rêves soviétiques.

En marchant dans les rues d’Arménie, je suis frappé par la façon dont les visions et les projets du passé soviétique continuent de résonner dans le présent. Les bâtiments imposants, les monuments marqués du sceau de cette époque et même les éléments de la culture quotidienne portent encore les traces des rêves et des aspirations soviétiques. Pourtant, cette réalité, bien que tangible, est imprégnée de l’avenir imaginé par les Soviétiques pour l’Arménie.

Chaque photographie que je prends est une tentative de révéler comment ces échos d’un futur imaginé par les Soviétiques apparaissent aujourd’hui. Je m’efforce de montrer comment les structures et les idées du passé, partiellement réalisées, ont donné vie à une fiction où les rêves d’un avenir radieux sont à la fois présents et altérés. En capturant ces images, je ressens une sorte de dialogue entre le passé et le présent, une conversation silencieuse entre les projets passés et les réalités actuelles, colorées par les idéaux inachevés des rêves soviétiques.

Ce projet est également un voyage personnel pour moi, un moyen de comprendre comment ces visions autrefois prometteuses de l’avenir ont façonné et influencé la trajectoire de l’Arménie. En voyant ces échos de l’avenir, je me sens liée à une histoire plus vaste, à des rêves partagés qui continuent à vivre dans la vie quotidienne des gens et dans le tissu de la ville, tout en restant la fiction d’un avenir imaginé.
